We have a team of Kaiārahi available to support you with your housing and wellbeing goals.
We can assist with housing navigation, signing you up to the housing register, sustaining your tenancy, WINZ advocacy, and develop a wellbeing plan for you.

Emergency Housing
While we are not an Emergency Housing Provider, we can connect you with Work and Income for Emergency Housing.
If you need Emergency Housing and want to contact Work and Income directly, please phone 0800 559 009 or call into your closest Work and Income office.

Rapid Rehousing
Rapid Rehousing helps individuals and whānau experiencing homelessness move quickly into safe, permanent housing while providing short-term support to establish and sustain their tenancy.
Our kaimahi work alongside whānau to remove barriers to housing through practical support, advocacy, and connections to the services they need.
Who is it for?
Rapid Rehousing supports people who:
Are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Are living in emergency or unstable accommodation.
Require low to medium levels of housing support.
How we can help
Support may include:
Finding suitable housing.
Assistance with tenancy applications.
Working with landlords and property managers.
Budgeting and tenancy support.
Connecting with financial assistance and community services.
Support is tailored to each whānau and is generally provided for up to 12 months, depending on individual needs and housing availability.
Kāinga Pūmanawa (Housing First)
We are Whangārei approved Housing First agency, alongside with Kāhui Tū Kaha and Ngati Hine Health Trust as Kāinga Pūmanawa.
Together we help our community’s chronically homeless find homes and support them in transforming these houses into their own kāinga (home).
Our approach is grounded in manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and rangatiratanga. We walk alongside whānau, providing tailored support based on their goals and aspirations.
How Housing First Works
Working with Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Kāinga Ora, landlords, iwi and community partners, we help eligible whānau secure permanent housing.
Once housed, a dedicated Housing First Kaimahi provides flexible, ongoing support, which may include:
Sustaining a successful tenancy.
Budgeting and financial wellbeing.
Accessing health and wellbeing services.
Strengthening whānau connections.
Employment, education and community support.
Support is voluntary, personalised, and continues for as long as it is needed.
Sustaining Tenancies
This service is for tenants in private rentals or public housing who need practical support to help to sustain their tenancy and address any issues that are putting their tenancy at risk. It is for individuals, families and whānau requiring different levels of service including:
- tenants who need a low level of support to stay in their home
- tenants with complex life events and risk factors (may have problems with alcohol and drugs or require mental health support)
- vulnerable tenants experiencing multiple risk factors and adverse life events (may have been recently released from prison or have a history of family violence).
